Dr Sagar Deb
Teaching Fellow in Clinical Skills and Professional Practice
Biography
Sagar is a Paediatric Resident Doctor in the North East of England and a part-time Clinical Teaching Fellow with the Clinical Skills and Professional Practice (CSPP) team. He completed a BSc in Global Health before achieving his medical degree at King’s College London, GKT School of Medical Education. Originally from London, Sagar sought a change of pace and training environment, which brought him to the North of England where he has continued his career in paediatrics. During medical school, Sagar worked with the Parliamentary Labour Health Team, gaining insight into the broader political and socioeconomic factors shaping health outcomes, particularly in children and young people.
This experience deepened his interest in health equity and his commitment to creating a healthcare system that better reflects the needs of society. He is especially passionate about widening participation and improving social mobility within Medicine. Alongside his clinical training, Sagar is developing his interest in medical education through his teaching role at CSPP. He is keen to support the next generation of medical students and Resident doctors by fostering inclusive, reflective, and patient-centred approaches to practice.
