Carly Scott

After studying in her local city of Carlisle and graduating with a degree in Business, Carly moved away from Carlisle to pursue her passion for travel and worked for Thomas Cook airlines based out of Manchester.

After a number of years and having satisfied her travel bug, Carly decided to relocate back to her home city and worked in an International Trade role for Business Link Cumbria and then the Apprenticeship sector for four years, helping young people to secure their future careers with local employers. Her passion for working with young people in the Education sector led to her UK Recruitment Officer role for the University of Cumbria in 2006. Having spent eight years as an Officer, Carly now leads and manages a team of education professionals to deliver all internal and external student recruitment events for The University of Cumbria.

When the opportunity arose to work with the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine in February 2024, Carly was excited to join the team and to use her many years of experience in delivering and managing higher education events for the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine.

When she isn’t managing events, Carly enjoys spending time with her family walking their dog in the Lakes and running a very busy household!
