Dr Anna Coulson

Biography

Anna is a Doctor and Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in curriculum development at Pears Cumbria School of Medicine and Clinical Communication at Imperial College London. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Leeds in 2017 and graduated with Honours. She also received the Jamieson Prize for Anatomy and a Certificate of Commendation in Research. Whilst completing her undergraduate degree, she undertook a qualification in French for Medicine. She has worked in various medical specialities and obtained her DRCOG in 2019.

She has experience in medical education and assessment and has held teaching roles at the University of Leeds and Imperial College London. She has a keen interest in communication skills. She was nominated for a staff recognition award at Imperial College London in 2024 for ‘demonstrating dedication in the support delivered to colleagues and students alike’. She was Co-Chair of the Clinical Teaching Fellow Network at Imperial College in 2023-2024 and has engaged in medical education research through Imperial College London. This academic year, she will be working towards her Postgraduate Diploma in University Learning and Teaching with Imperial College London. She continues to engage with French and Spanish.
