The PCSM Education Hub aims to promote, support and advance medical education in Cumbria and beyond by training skilled clinicians to deliver high-quality care and fostering a research-informed culture at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine.
We support faculty development within the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine and for our NHS and medicine partners in the region. Our aim is to create a community of practice for evidence-based best practice across Cumbria and to develop education research.

PCSM Education Hub: Empowering Educators, Shaping Doctors – Wednesday 29 October 2025, 13:00 – 18:15
This event marks the launch of the Education Hub, a bold new initiative to connect and empower clinical educators across Cumbria. It also coincides with a significant moment for our region: the opening of the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine (PCSM), an opportunity to shape the next generation of doctors through truly place-based medical education.
Whether you’re based in general practice, secondary care, or allied health, this afternoon is about coming together as a community of educators to share ideas, challenge assumptions and reimagine what clinical teaching can look like in 2025.
