Mary Skelton

Mary Skelton is the Pears Cumbria School Of Medicine’s Admission Officer. Mary studied in Nottingham, her course focusing on Education, Learning and Development. Once graduating, Mary worked as a Careers & Progression Advisor within Higher Education and also supported young people from wider participation backgrounds, to access education and employment.

After travelling in Asia, and living in New Zealand, Mary moved to Cumbria in 2015. Previously Mary was working for a London based Education charity, helping young people from wider participation backgrounds gain access to university. When hearing of the new Pears Cumbria School of Medicine and their vision to widen access to medical education, she saw this as a great opportunity to be able to deliver support locally, and continue to help others in their higher education journey. Mary is excited to be joining PCSM team and to make a difference to the local community.
