The Pears Cumbria School of Medicine is a place to nurture ambition. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to advancing healthcare and research in the region.
Professional Development Tutors (seven roles)
Professional Development Tutors (PDTs) will each have a tutorial group of approximately ten medical students. The PDT will support each student to realise their academic, personal, and professional aspirations while in medical school, and during their professional practice.
The PDTs will support students to build professional practice in Cumbria, as well as engaging them in the needs of the local healthcare community. PCSM aspires to motivate students to stay and practise in Cumbria should they wish to, and PDTs will help facilitate early student career engagement with the local healthcare community.
