Dr Mohammed Sabbir Islam Clinical Teaching Fellow in Clinical Skills and Professional Practice
Biography
Sab is a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Clinical Skills and Professional Practice at Pears Cumbria School of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from Newcastle University and after completing his foundation training in the North-East, he has since worked across various NHS trusts across the UK, practicing as a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine. Sab has experience in Medical Education through delivering teaching to medical students within clinical attachments. He is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) instructor and has a keen interest in simulation-based teaching and communication skills.
A passion of Sab’s is his involvement with various charitable and non-governmental organisations both domestically and abroad. He recently completed his DTM&H from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in December 2024. He has been involved in projects within low-resourced/refugee settings with roles in delivering care and teaching children – spanning South-East Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and North America.
