Biography
After earning her degree in Genetics from Liverpool, Claire embarked on her journey in Library Services at the newly established University of Cumbria and subsequently pursued an MSc at Aberystwyth University to qualify as a librarian and information professional.
For nearly 15 years, Claire has served as a Library and Academic Advisor for Arts and Science programmes at the University of Cumbria. In this role, she developed specialist digital and physical library collections while also guiding students in honing their academic and study skills through group workshops and 1-1 work. Her interests include exploring the connection between wellbeing and academic success, as well as nurturing critically reflexive learning practices.
Having grown up in Cumbria, Claire has a deep connection to the local area. She is dedicated to empowering PCSM students in their learning, helping them on their journey towards making a difference for the people of our region.
