“Action of GLP-1 Agonists on Appetite”

Prof Tricia Tan, Professor of Practice in Metabolic Medicine & Endocrinology, Imperial College London; Consultant in Diabetes & Metabolic Medicine, Imperial NHS Trust; Clinical Lead, North West London Pathology.

A metabolic medicine specialist with a focus on obesity and diabetes, Prof Tan researches and evaluates the roles of gut hormones, including GLP‑1 agonists, in suppressing appetite and supporting weight management.

Speaker 2

“Obesity Management: Tier 3 Weight Management Service”

Dr Ishara Ranathunga, Consultant Endocrinologist and Associate Specialist in Diabetes and Endocrinology, North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

An obesity care specialist delivering the Tier 3 Weight Management Service, Dr Ranathunga leads a multidisciplinary, non‑surgical intensive medical programme for adults with obesity, focusing on integrated behavioural, dietary, and medical support.
